What is a house design project?

This is a comprehensive package of documents with different variants for planning residential premises, color schemes, collages, 3D visualization, working drawings and information about the materials which are used.

The focus of the project is on the customer, who has the opportunity to design the interior and furnishing of the home. Our task is to implement their designs.

For our team, the main task of the interior design project is to provide a balanced, high-quality, clean and bright space that will reflect the character of the owner, or remain neutral if the owner chooses to rent out the property.

In simple terms, the design project is an instruction for builders from the customer.

What is included in the design project of a private house:

Typically, a design project includes visual solutions reflecting the concept of the project, color schemes, mood boards, specifications, and working drawings.

The set of documents includes:

• planning solution, sketches of rooms in color, furniture dimensions are indicated in detail.
• drawing with measurements of the premises and detailing of engineering communications units;
• installation plans for floors, ceilings, walls with scales and selected arrangement of furniture, placement of lighting fixtures with switches, sockets, lighting scenarios, ventilation layouts and other necessary equipment;
• detailed visualization of the kitchen with binding of furniture, bathrooms with plumbing equipment, laying tiles and other decorative elements;
• specifications of furniture, plumbing, facing materials, finishes, lighting, decorative elements;
• individual drawings of furniture;

Our Korovai team often includes additional sections in the project: home automation, smart home, supply and exhaust ventilation system, working project of electricity. By other words the design is a ready-made scheme, according to which contractors can already work to repair and create the interior of the house.

Stages of work with a design project

The work on the project, in our Korovai Architects team, is divided into 4 stages:

The first stage is a visit to the object, photos and measurements, layout of the premises.

The second stage includes coordinating the concept with the customer, choosing a stylistic direction, color scheme, coordinating the budget for the selected furniture, lighting elements, plumbing fixtures, and finishing materials.

The third stage is Visualization. Creation of a three-dimensional model of the future interior, so that the customer can imagine how ideas look together, how colors interact or harmoniously arranged furniture. At the request of the customer, we perform a 3D tour – you can walk around the house in special glasses, examine every corner.

The fourth stage is the preparation of working documentation. The working documentation consists of dozens, and sometimes hundreds of pages; this is a detailed instruction for builders implementing the project.

Intelligence. They include the selection of furniture, plumbing, lighting, finishing materials, indicating the nomenclature, brand names, brands, store names. The customer either deals with repairs and purchases himself, or prefers the so-called turnkey project – architectural supervision.

After the project is completed, we will calculate the estimate for the repair work. And let’s start implementing.
